DNA Glop Look at, touch, and smell real DNA! At this booth, you will use household items such as detergent and rubbing alcohol to extract DNA from wheat germ cells. Kids will learn about the recipe card for life (DNA) at this station.
Lava Lamps Learn how to make your very own Lava Lamp with simple household items! This station will be sure to bubble with color!
Boggle your Brain Learn how your brain works! Hear a fascinating story about basic neuroanatomy. Then try throwing a ball at a target while wearing glasses that skew your vision!
Do You See What I See? Have you ever wondered what its like to see like a dog or a snake? Do you think it will be similar to your own eyesight? Come on over and take a peek into what its like to have the vision of an animal!
Playtime with Polymers By mixing a little bit of this with a little bit of that, you can make your own polymers to play with, including slime, silly putty and ooblek.
Designing Medications Pharmacology and toxicology are sciences that study interactions between drugs and the human body. Come explore these relationships and how researchers are using them to design new medications!
Stop & Think! What happens to the stuff that goes down your sink? Where does all your water go after it disappears down that hole in your sink? Come explore a mini-waste treatment plant and discover your own ways to clean dirty water!
Old Faithful Keep an eye out for our erupting fountain of soda and menthos that will go off every 15 minutes! It'll blow your top off!!
Pedal Power Did you know you can use your own muscle-power to generate electricity? See how many lightbulbs you can turn on by taking a ride on a bike!
Moving Air How many breaths does it take to fill up a 10 ft. long wind tube? Can you do it in one breath? Check out the magic of air at this booth!
Fun with Indicators Find out how colors can tell you different characteristics of a solution. See how dry ice affects those solutions!
Insect Ambassadors Come on over to this booth to interact with live walking sticks and hissing cockroaches while learning fun insect facts and biology!
Chromatography Crime Solving Explore how chromatography is used to separate and analyze solutions, then use your knowledge to solve a mystery!
Nematode Worms What can you learn from worms? Check out all the things these amazing model organisms can teach us at this booth.
The Secret Life of Plants Discover how plants "eat" sun and in turn, feed you! See amazing insect-eating plants too!
The Stream Team Healthy streams are vital to ourselves and our landscapes. Find out what lives in the stream and try your hand at sampling stream critters!
MicroExplorers What is the smallest thing you can imagine? Use microscopes to reveal the amazing detail in an embryonic fish!
Science Mystery Tour
