Wisconsin Tree Identification
Fall 2011
Learn your trees via six online lessons plus two Saturday field trips offered at various times through the fall for maximum flexibility! Open to the public. Program cost $50. Teachers will receive 2 CEUs or may obtain 1 UW graduate credit (at normal tuition rates). Contact Catherine Woodward for more information or visit the course webpage.
Stream Monitoring Curriculum Training
August 2011 (Dates TBA)
Science teachers (Grades 4-12) will receive training on this new curriculum created by UW-Extension and the DNR, and pilot the curriculum in their classrooms. Program cost $50. Teachers will receive up to 2 CEUs, and may obtain 1 UW graduate credit (at normal tuition rates). For more information contact Catherine Woodward.

Summer Science Camp
June 20-24, 2011
A week-long, inquiry based day camp for 4th through 12th grade students offered at the Wisconsin Heights school in Black Earth. Students work in smal groups to investigate original questions centered on Prairies, Streams, Human Anatomy, Microbiology, Nematode Worms, Forest Ecology and Physics.

Wilderness Explorers: Outdoor Education and Leadership Camp
August 1-5, 2011
Kids entering grades 7-8 can explore the great outdoors during this exciting week-long camp. Learn orienteering, edible & poisonous plants, wilderness survival skills and more! The week culminates in an overnight canoe-camping trip on the Kickapoo River! Cost $85. Financial assistance may be available. Contact Catherine Woodward for more information. Register by July 22.

Monthly, 3rd or 4th Wednesday at 6:30 pm
